The open lesson for our new “The World Around Us” course, led by Natalia Davidenko — a scientist and educator with international experience — was a great success. Pupils enthusiastically explored the boundary between living and non-living nature, discovered the fascinating world of microorganisms, and took an active part in discussions of scientific topics. The lesson received very positive feedback from both children and parents, and many families have already expressed an interest in enrolling in the course for the new academic year.
Our introduction to Tatiana Kalmykova, our new piano teacher, was equally successful. Throughout the day, Tatiana conducted a series of individual introductory sessions, which generated considerable interest among pupils and parents alike. Her professionalism, warm and welcoming approach, and extensive musical experience made an excellent impression on visitors to the school.
Visitors also took part in open lessons in Art, TRIZ, and early years classes, were introduced to our new course Journeys into the World of Geography, Culture and History, attended a rehearsal of Cat’s House, and met the teachers of our GCSE and A Level Russian examination preparation programme.
A particularly welcome addition to the event was a visit from the London bookshop Bukashka, which presented a wide selection of Russian-language children’s books.
We would like to thank all our guests, parents, pupils and teachers for taking part in our Open Day. It was a pleasure to welcome so many interested families and to receive your positive feedback.
